The Chieftain by Dudley Hardey, antique French poster printed in 1896 from from the Maitres De L'Affiche series (plate no. 48) advertising a play. The Maitres were poster plates/miniature versions of famous posters and poster artists of the era and were published by Jules Cheret's publishing house. The Maitres were published in the late 1800s to 1900 and sent to individual subscribers. A condition. Not a reproduction.
