The Maitres were poster plates/miniature versions of famous posters and poster artists of the era and were published by Jules Cheret's publishing house. The Maitres were published in the late 1800s to the early 1900s and sent to individual subscribers. This poster was designed by American artist Frank Hazenplug for a charity event in Chicago.
