Grand Theatere de L’Exposition by Jules Cheret-Original 1890 French stone lithograph poster printed between 1889 and 1890.  This poster was designed by Jules Cheret, the father of the Modern Poster to advertise a series of shows at the Grand Theatre L’Exposition Palais Des Enfants. The same image was used in a different poster advertising the 1889 World Exhibition in Paris. The other version was also printed in smaller collectible version as part of Les Maitres de l'Affiche series. This larger version rarely comes on the market for sale or auction.

Condition Notes: C condition.Poster is linen backed. Significant color fading. Small gaps in the top right and left corners. Minor stain in top left quadrant.
