Original vintage poster printed circa 1900 (over 120 years old) from the Les Maitres De L'Affiche series. The Maitres (or Master of the Poster) series were individual poster-plates (small version posters on heavy paper stock) representing the works of various noted artists of the day. The plates were provided to subscribing collectors of poster art between 1895 and 1900. This particular plate was designed by Jules Cheret and advertises a children's show at an exhibition in Paris. Condition notes: A condition. Colors and imagery are sharp and vibrant. The Maitres are not typically linen backed as they were printed on heavier paper stock.
